THE LITTLE BOX OF COMFORT
Loss comes in all shapes and sizes. We all experience loss or grief at some point, it can feel very lonely and overwhelming. As a friend or family member of someone experiencing loss, be that a family break-up, the death of someone close or shattered dreams - it's hard to know what to say or how to provide comfort.
This little box came out of a desire to send something to a friend experiencing great loss and finding there wasn't a lot besides flowers and pamper boxes. Whilst there is nothing at all wrong with these, we wanted to create something with a Biblical focus in the knowledge that in tough times like this people often either drift away or are drawn closer to God - who we believe believe brings healing to the brokenhearted. When chatting with fellow creative, the lovely Amy, who creates the most beautiful fused art pieces, we found we had this desire in common and she had recently created some beautiful glass tear drops. It seemed to us a perfect match.
- A simple card with a row of hand-drawn monochrome rocks. It's left blank inside for you to add a message in the box below or if it's being sent to you - for you to write as you wish.
- A handmade glass tear drop by Orchard Art Glass. This is a stunning piece, the blues blend beautifully and the word 'HELD' is written in the clear edge. It comes with a postcard with Psalm 56v8 on one side and on the other: 'May this ornament bring you comfort as you travel through this season of life. Your tears are precious to God. He sees each one and they will be held, as will you.'
- A tin of 30 A6 postcards each with a striped stone monochrome illustration and a different Bible verse on each one.
Optional - add a pouch of Himalyan Bath Salts from The Little Peace Company. Details can be found here.
